Weather / spawn
Decent weekend ahead with a couple of warm days leading in. Upper lake from Three Fingers up into Spring River and Miami could see some spawning Crappie evenings on a smaller scale.
White Bass / rivers
Tons of reports in the Grand Fishing Report Facebook group — lots of White Bass up the rivers, mainly Spring River (more accessible, better ramps, usually clearer). Crappie push up there too — riffle edges, current seams and eddies.
Bass
Good reports; tight-lipped on baits. Pictures of STX jerkbaits (American-made Fish Lucke, Rick Clunn design) with nice Bass in backs of coves.
Haydn
Some Crappie on Lucky Bugs from Patricia Island north; mostly Paddlefish trips — lots of demand.
Jeff's plan
Champion back out; big schools of Crappie on the south end if it's not too rough, or Elk River coves for spawning Crappie. Favorite bank-spawn rig has switched to Scrounger — 1/8 or 1/16 oz with a 2" or 2½" Lucky Bug — slow, something fish haven't seen. Swimming minnow still better for searching (farther cast, faster).
