Pattern
Bank Crappie afternoons/evenings — bobbers with minnows or jigs, cast-and-reel. Water starting a slow fall — another inflow would stabilize the spawn push. Early April; lower-lake spawn often stretches into May when GRDA must bring the lake to 744. Prefer a steady last three weeks of April.
Bass / search
Quarter-ounce Scrounger + 3½" Live Motion minnow Whiskey Minnow (pearl belly, light brown back) deeper south end. Jeff this week: 1/16 oz Scrounger + 2½" Lucky Bug slow off the bank (longer in the zone than a swimming minnow). Tie2 and cable-guard only going forward — no more plain heads; great for soft bait above a crank or Dinner Spinner.
Other
Paddlefish snagged at Miami / Neosho; whites spawning and dropping out of rivers soon; blues ≤10 feet on fresh cut bait. Lucky Cat coming.
